Compare the full stay, not just the room
Write down the number of resort days and the journeys needed on each one. Two people visiting once have a different transport requirement from a family travelling up and back on several mornings. Include meals, changing and where you will keep equipment during the day.
Ask your accommodation about its exact location and any transport it actually provides. A property described as being near Shahdag may still require a separately arranged car. Discuss the hotel transfer options using the real address rather than a general town name. Compare the total confirmed accommodation and transport arrangement before deciding on a base.
Make each morning work backwards
An activity reporting time determines when you need to leave the accommodation. Ask for a route estimate from the actual property, then allow time for arrival, equipment collection or any walk to the meeting point. Avoid borrowing a journey estimate from another hotel on a different road.
Prepare bags and clothing the previous evening so that several people can be ready at the agreed pickup. If participants have different lessons, check that one arrival can serve them all. The ski lesson timing guide helps separate reporting, teaching and vehicle times. Keep the accommodation reception informed if an early departure needs a particular entrance.
Set realistic evening collections
Choose a return meeting point that can be reached after activities finish and rental equipment is returned. Ask whether the vehicle is reserved for a defined collection or remains available under another agreed arrangement. These are different services and should be reflected in the quotation.
For several days, use a small schedule:
- Date and pickup address for the outward journey.
- Required activity reporting time and destination.
- Proposed return time and exact meeting point.
- Passengers and belongings carried on that particular day.
Review the schedule if the group changes its activities, rather than allowing a first-day arrangement to become an unconfirmed assumption for the rest of the stay.
Include the first and last legs
Your Baku or airport arrival and final return are separate from the daily local journeys. Decide whether you want to travel directly to the accommodation or stop at the resort first, and state where the luggage goes. On the final day, allow time for checkout before any remaining activity.
Use the booking checklist to request all required legs together, while keeping each endpoint and date visible. Ask how changes and additional waiting are handled. A Qusar base is most practical when its daily transport is a confirmed part of the plan, not a problem left to solve at each departure.
