Separate road time from ski time
A day visit includes both intercity drives, equipment collection and time at the resort. Decide your main activity first and leave a buffer before the return pickup.
Keep winter essentials accessible
Carry warm layers, dry gloves, water, medication and phone power in the cabin. Pack skis and suitcases according to the confirmed car capacity. Resort passes and rentals are arranged separately.
Weather changes timing, not the safety standard
Snowfall, ice, fog and visibility can change quickly on the final mountain section. The normal journey estimate is a planning range, not a guarantee. Current conditions are checked close to departure, and a delay or revised time may be safer than trying to protect a tight activity or flight schedule.
Count equipment as luggage
List skis, snowboards, boot bags, helmets, strollers and large suitcases separately. UNI-V iDD and UNI-Z each carry a maximum of four passengers, but the usable baggage space depends on the complete load and must be confirmed before the vehicle is assigned.
Before leaving Baku for Shahdag in winter
Check weather and road conditions close to departure, then reconfirm the plan with the driver. Send passenger count, the complete luggage and ski-equipment list, and the destination hotel. Allow changing visibility and extra travel time. The normal 3–3.5-hour estimate is not a promise; current conditions matter more than an old photo.

Can I book transport before the ski season is confirmed?
You can discuss a road transfer, but verify lift and slope operations with the resort before committing to a ski itinerary. Weather can change the plan.

Winter road and ski luggage: confirm before departure
Ask the driver to confirm the vehicle and equipment for the forecast conditions, including whether snow chains may be required. Do not assume that every SUV has four-wheel drive. Send the number and length of ski or snowboard bags and all other suitcases so seats remain available. If road access is restricted, agree a revised pickup or postponement directly; neither a transfer booking nor a lift ticket guarantees an open mountain road.
